Accreditation of Orthopaedic Surgery Unit

𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗔𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 𝗕𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗢𝗡𝗦

The Orthopaedic Surgery Unit at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) today completed a successful accreditation from the West African College of Surgeons, Faculty of Orthopaedic Surgery. The accreditation team, led by the esteemed Prof Fokam, conducted a thorough review of the hospital’s facilities, staff, and overall operational standards.

Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor, the Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, warmly welcomed the accreditation team to the hospital. He expressed satisfaction in the well-equipped status of the RSUTH. Prof. Alikor extended heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for providing the needed leadership and substantial investment in our healthcare infrastructure which has been instrumental in enabling the hospital to provide top-notch medical services to Rivers People.

The accreditation visit by the West African College of Surgeon, Faculty of Orthopaedic surgery is another testament to the high standards maintained by the RSUTH even as the hospital awaits further communications from WACS.

The successful accreditation visit marks another great achievement for RSUTH, reaffirming its position as a leading healthcare institution in the region. The hospital remains committed to providing quality healthcare services and advancing medical education and research.
