The Radiology Department at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), today 28 June 2024, successfully completed an accreditation visit from the West African College of Surgeons (WACS), Faculty of Radiology. The accreditation team, led by the esteemed Prof. Agunloye, conducted a thorough review of the hospital’s radiology department facilities, staff, and overall operational standards.
Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor, the Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, graciously received the accreditation team and conveyed his contentment with the Radiology Department’s excellent condition. He sincerely thanked His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for his leadership and significant investments in healthcare infrastructure, which have been crucial in allowing the hospital to deliver exceptional medical services to the residents of Rivers State.
The WACS accreditation visit serves as further evidence of the high standards upheld by RSUTH, solidifying its reputation as a premier healthcare institution in the region. The hospital looks forward to receiving additional feedback from WACS and continues to be dedicated to offering quality healthcare services and promoting medical education and research.
