Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) welcomed a distinguished team of experts in Children Kidney Care (paediatric nephrology) from the International Paediatric Nephrology Association and the Royal Children Hospital, Glasgow, United Kingdom. This visit was aimed at building partnerships in training, research, and effective and quality care for children with kidney diseases in the subregion.
This team of experts who paid a courtesy visit on the Acting Chief Medical Director of RSUTH included Prof Felicia Eke of the UK, Prof Malcom Lewis of Royal Children Hospital, Glasgow, UK and Prof Ifeoma Anochie of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH)and Dr Tochi Uchenwa.
During their visit, the team explored the state-of-the-art renal centre of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, underlining their commitment to strengthening collaborations with RSUTH’s Renal Centre.
RSUTH media team recalls that just recently an extensive training on Kidney Care took place in the hospital with a team from Salford Royal Hospital, Manchester, and enthusiastically acknowledged the Acting Chief Medical Director, Prof. Chizindu Akubudike Alikor for fostering such significant partnerships.
