The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) proudly welcomed Dr. M. Mourtala Ka, the President-Elect of the West African College of Physicians, on a distinguished visit to the hospital on Monday 8, July 2024. Dr. Ka was received by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of RSUTH, Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor. Also, on his team was the Vice President (Nigeria), Prof A. Madaki and a former Vice President(Nigeria), Prof Abel Onunu, all of the West African College of Physicians.
During the visit, Dr. Ka toured the hospitalβs state-of-the-art facilities, followed by a formal meeting where Dr. Ka and Prof. Alikor discussed collaborative efforts to enhance medical education, training, and healthcare delivery in the region. In a profound speech, Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor expressed his deep appreciation for Dr. Ka’s visit; emphasized the significance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in advancing healthcare standards across West Africa. The visit marks a pivotal moment in RSUTHβs ongoing efforts to elevate healthcare delivery and medical education in Rivers State and beyond, thereby enhancing RSUTHβs capabilities and reaffirming our commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients.
